Armed men suspected to be bandits have reportedly killed one person and abducted four others at Kasuwar Magani in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State.
According to a family source, the victims, who are all residents of Tudun Wada, Zaria, were returning from their farms on Tuesday when they were attacked by the bandits.
The source revealed that Mohammed Bashir (Govinda), Chairman of the Tudun Wada, Zaria Butchers Association, was killed instantly.
The source further stated that a public commentator and lecturer at the Federal College of Education, Zaria, Malam Sama’ila Sahabi, his younger brother, Sidi (Aliyu) Sahabi, and two others were abducted by the bandits.

Malam Musa Sahabi, a brother to two of the victims, said, “From the information we received, the attack was the handiwork of an informant. The bandits traced the victims to their rooms after they returned from the farm and started asking for the whereabouts of one of the victims by calling his name.
“This shows that they came purposely to kidnap them, since they were calling names.”
Meanwhile, our correspondent reports that the corpse of the deceased has since been recovered and buried in Zaria yesterday.
