An employee of the KTSTA, who asked to remain anonymous, said the vehicle was travelling from Funtua to Katsina when the incident happened.

The spokesman of the police in Katsina, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, confirmed the incident, saying eight passengers were kidnapped from the bus and the police were able to rescue four.

“We are on top of the matter. Our men have rescued a male and three female victims, and we are still on the trail of the bandits to rescue the remaining four,” he said.
