Gunmen have shot dead the Village Head of Kurmin- Kare, Ishaya Barnabas, and abducted three other residents in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A resident, Shehu Baba, who spoke with our reporter on telephone on Wednesday, said the incident happened on Tuesday around 12am.
He said the bandits invaded the village on motorcycles and headed to the chief’s house and shot him dead before proceeding to a neighbour’s house and abducting three residents.
He further said that youths mobilised and arrested one of the bandits after he fell down from a motorcycle and handed him over to soldiers.

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, was yet to speak on the incident.
