A family source who did not want to be quoted confirmed the release of the lecturer but declined to comment if a ransom was paid.
The source said, “We are just happy that at least she is back. What we are focusing on now is how to secure the release of the others still in captivity.”
Daily Trust had reported how the lecturer and her daughter travelling in a chartered vehicle were kidnapped by bandits near Kasuwan Magani in Kajuru LGA after they rendered humanitarian service at Mariri community in Lere LGA of Kaduna State on April 24.
