Bandits have freed three of four people abducted on September 22, 2022, on the Tekpeshe-Gurdi road and killed one after they collected N1 million ransom from the victims’ families at Gurdi village in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.

A resident, Yahaya Saidu, said that, “On Tuesday, the bandits agreed to collect N1m, including foodstuff, Indian hemp, drugs and wine. After getting to the forest where we were to receive the four victims, one of the bandits told us that one of them (victims) could not walk properly so they decided to kill him.”

The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, was yet to reply to an SMS about the development.
