Bandits who abducted three children of a medical doctor at Unguwar Azala in Katari, Kachia LGA of Kaduna State, have demanded a N30 million ransom.
City & Crime earlier reported that bandits last week invaded the residence of the doctor and whisked away three of his children.
Speaking with our reporter on Monday, a friend of the family, simply identified as Barnabas, said, “The family was devastated when they couldn’t establish contact with the bandits, not until on Saturday around 11am when the bandits’ leader called to ask the family to raise N30m, foodstuffs and drugs before they will release the children.”
He added that the family pleaded with the bandits to bring down the ransom amount to a level they could afford.
