He said; “Armed bandits were reported to be crossing Suleja road at about 1500hrs from Gbajibe village via Lambata, Gurara LGA”
Abiodun said a combined team of Police operatives and military personnel from Suleja were mobilized to the scene and engaged the bandits before the hoodlums escaped into the forest.
He said the road was immediately cleared and normalcy restored for free flow of traffic
Daily Trust gathered that bandits in their numbers were crossing between Kwakuti and Lambata with a large number of cattle around 4pm when they blocked the road.
A resident in the area, Umar Adamu, said they invaded Kwakuti and took away many motorcycles.
“The armed bandits operated around Dajigbe village axis, along Minna – Suleja road but were dispersed by security operatives.
“They however went attacking neighbouring villages, seizing motorcycles and setting houses ablaze,” he said.
