Bandits have beheaded a local hunter identified as Garba Sarki at Dogon-Daji village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A community leader in the area who confirmed the incident to our reporter through telephone on Monday on condition of anonymity for security reasons said the incident happened last Thursday around 11:47pm at a forest in the area.
He said the bandits ambushed the hunter at a forest in the area and opened fire on him but the bullets could not penetrate him, so they tied him and slit his throat with a knife.
He said the bandits had been trailing the hunter for some months after he engaged them in gun duel in a forest in early March this year, which led to the killing of two them.
