Daily Trust gathered that bandits invaded the community around 5pm and kidnapped many people.
Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, and Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, did not respond to messages sent to them.
But a resident of the community, Nurudeen Isyaku Daza, said the bandits had been operating unchallenged.
“As I speak with you, we cannot tell exact number of people kidnapped because bandits are in the community operating. Many people have fled,” he said.
