Bandits have abducted a housewife and her three children in Kidandan village, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna, causing confusion in the community.
The bandits struck on Monday around 12am, firing shots to intimidate the residents.
Local sources revealed that the bandits initially planned to abduct the woman’s husband who resisted the plan. During the struggle, the husband sustained injuries inflicted by the criminals.
According to an unnamed resident, “They tried to drag him out of the house, but he refused to follow them. They decided to take his wife and three children. The man was later rushed to the hospital for the injuries he sustained.”

Alhaji Abubakar Umar Ruka, the Village Head of Kidandan, confirmed the abduction, noting that all the victims were females.
According to him, he was not sure if the abducted housewife was the biological mother of the three children.
Efforts to obtain a reaction from the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, failed as he couldn’t be reached by phone, and he has not responded to the text sent to him.
