Bandits have abducted six farmers, four males and two females, at Gidan Busa community in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A community leader from the area, who confirmed the kidnap incident through phone to our reporter on Wednesday, said it happened on Monday around 5pm.
He said the farmers were working on their farms when the bandits, wielding weapons attacked them.
He said he had alerted some vigilantes from neigbouring Jobgwom village, who have mobilised in their numbers into the forest.

The community leader also disclosed that some bandits invaded a Fulani settlement on the same day at neighbouring Gadan-Malam Maman and rustled some cows.
He said the bandits, who invaded the village, wielding weapons, shot and injured two villagers while escaping with the rustled cows, even as he said troops have been informed about the development.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, could not be reached for comment.
