Bandits yesterday invaded Dogon Noma – Unguwan Gamo community in Maro ward of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State and kidnapped 14 villagers.
The incident happened at about 6am when the attackers arrived at the community in large numbers and whisked the victims away.
There was no report of death, but a victim, one Mr Jibrin Dauda, who sustained a serious injury, was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Mr Stephen Maikori, Overseer of Kufana District, confirmed the incident in a report sent to Agon Kufana on Saturday, as obtained by Daily Trust on Sunday.

He gave the names of the kidnapped victims as Bulus Dandaura, Murna Bulus, Donald Bulus, Labari Audu, Zainabu Dauda, Dorcas Titus, Jummai Garba, Felicia Wanzami, Ruth Thomas, Esther Oliver, Comfort Babangida, Mrs Yakubu Pama, Abaza Monday, and Christy Samuel.
Contacted, spokesman of Kaduna Police Command, ASP Mansir Hassan promised to get details from the area before commenting.
In another development, it was gathered that six people kidnapped from the Afogo community in December 2023 in the same district have regained freedom and reunited with their families after payment of ransom.
