Bandits have abducted 11 people at Kubuwo village in Kagark o LGA of Kaduna State and demanded N16 million with four brand new motorcycles as ransom for the victims.
City & Crime learnt that Kubuwo is two kilometres away from neighboring Kudiri village in the area, where 29 villagers are still held captive despite payment of N10 million ransom by relations of the victims.
A resident of Kubuwo, Alkali Danjuma, said the incident happened on Saturday, around 11:12 pm when the bandits invaded the community and whisked away the victims, including three children.
He said the bandits’ leader called on Sunday evening after a contact had been established and ademanded for the ransom and four motorcycles from family and relations of the victims.

“In fact, some of these bandits came on motorcycles shooting in to the air, while some of their gang members entered three houses and whisked away 11 people including three children,” he said.
The village chief of the nearing Kudiri, Wakili Iliya, confirmed the latest kidnap incident at Kubuwo, saying “In fact, it was around 2: am this morning I received a call that bandits had invaded Kubuwo and abducted some people.
The chief who expressed worry over incessant abduction by the bandits, appealed to the government to come to their aid in rescuing some of the abducted victims in his village, which he said were still being held hostage for two months now.
There was no official response from the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command over the latest kidnap incident as at the time of filling the report.
