Niger State Government has announced rewards for those who volunteer to provide credible intelligence information that would aid the fight against banditry in the state.
The Chief Press to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Mary Noel-Berje, told Daily Trust on Saturday that the decision followed the renewed attacks on communities in the state in the last few days.

“Governor Sani Bello has established a Situation and Control Room, where credible intelligence can be reported to the security agencies for prompt and rapid response,” she said.
Asked how much, Noel-Berje said the government would not disclose the amount so as not to defeat the aim.
