‘Bamaiyi sister’s murder unfortunate’

Bawa, who spoke yesterday in Zuru, Kebbi State, also condoled with the family of former deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar Barde, who died on Sallah day at the Uthman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.
He described the assassination of Saratu Bamaiyi ,75, and her 12-year-old granddaughter, Blessing Ishaku, as unfortunate.
“I was shocked when I heard of the brutal murder of Saratu and her granddaughter. It is a barbaric act, especially in a peaceful town like Zuru. Already, the state police command has taken over the investigation and I wish them success in the exercise,” he said.
