Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has emerged unopposed as All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate.
The governor was announced as the party’s candidate for the Governorship election by Professor Monday Osunbor who led APC Governorship Primary Election Committee from Abuja.
3, 818 delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state, in affirmation, voted Bagudu as the party’s candidate at the township stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
During his acceptance speech, Governor Bagudu thanked the delegates for the confidence they reposed in him.
He promised to go on with the good work started by his administration if voted to power in coming elections.
He urged the party’s supporters to remain focused and committed to APC and ensure he was returned as governor in 2019.
