The Born in Africa Festival (BAFEST) came to a climax yesterday following gripping performances from leading African artists at the Eko Atlantic, Lagos.
Among the A-list artists who made the crowd went gaga were Tiwa Savage, Dbanj, Falz The Bahd Guy, Davido, Burna Boy and Kizz Daniel.
Other performing acts include Flavour, Wande Coal, Yemi Alade, and Timaya, as well as East African music sensation Awilo Longomba and South African rapper, Sho Madjozi.
Falz The Bahd Guy opened the show with classic performances from his hit songs, just as South Africa’s finest poet and rapper, Sho Madjozi, she brought the roof down with her hit singles, Huku and Wakanda Forever.
Other artists also brought their A-game to the stage with so much energy, as the crowd enjoyed great vibes from their renditions.
Dbanj also thrilled the audience with his catchy live performances while Burna Boy closed the show in a grand style.
Another crowd-rousing performance at the event was the suspended drummers in the air as DJ Crowd Kontroller controls the wheels of steels while the MCs of the festival, Shody The Hypeman and d2Dotun got the crowd engaged from the very beginning of the concert till the end.
This maiden edition of the Born In Africa Festival (BAFEST) featured some of the best acts from the African entertainment scene and fashion world.
According to the organisers, BAFEST is a platform where the best entertainers, fashion designers, creative visual artists on the continent can showcase their talents, as well as celebrate the dynamism of Africa.
Aside the musical concert, the event also featured art exhibitions, fashion runway, and films screening, among others
Art lovers admired the artworks exhibited by Africa’s most talented visual artists including Uche Edochie, Ibe Ananaba, Isaac Emokpae and Tolu Aliki.
The mini Access Bank runway also afforded fashion lovers the opportunity to walk on the runway, take pictures, admire beautiful dresses and attires displayed by designers such as Tobewei and Tiffany Amber.
Similarly, about 20 intriguing movies were screened at the venue as film lovers sat comfortably in the screening room, and enjoyed the movies too.
