Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has applauded the “exceptional qualities” of the retired Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede.
In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on print media, Ahmad Muhammad Danyaro, Badaru congratulated Babandede on his retirement from service.

The governor said Babandede was an innovative reformer, who had contributed to a more efficient service notably the digitalisation of passport operations and introduction of a paperless administration.
He described him as “a proud son of Jigawa State and legendary leader who surmounted all obstacles to attain his dream of turning around the service and left an indelible mark on the wall of the service through monumental legacies.”
