A former Kaduna Central Senator, Comrade Shehu Sani, has said that the current insecurity situation in the country, particularly in the North East, was fueled by economic hardship among the masses.
Shehu Sani was reacting to the recent incessant attacks by Boko Haram terrorists in the North East and other parts of the country.

Lamenting the problems on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, the former lawmaker expressed worries over the new policy of the Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists of distributing money to the residents of the towns they attacked in Yobe and Borno states.
“Last month, Boko Harama terrorists distributed 20k to the residents of the town they attacked; And now ISWAP terrorists are distributing foodstuffs to some communities in Yobe & Borno; The lesson here is that chronic economic issues fuels terrorism in the North East of our country.
“When the terrorists kills the poor, the terrorists are the evil; When the terrorists feeds the poor, the Government is the evil,” Shehu Sani added in another tweet.
