The Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, has expressed its sadness over the killing of one of its lecturers, Yinka Olomojobi, a professor of human rights and gender law at the university.
Olomojobi was reportedly killed by kidnappers in Iperu, Ogun State.
Gumen suspected to be kidnappers had reportedly invaded an event centre in Iperu area and opened fire on people, killing the lecturer.
Two other persons were reportedly kidnapped during the incident.
The Director, Communication and Marketing in Babcock, Joshua Suleiman, described the incident as shocking, saying the university has been thrown into mourning.
