Azman University to pioneer courses on aviation

The pioneer Vice Chancellor of Azman University, Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar, has revealed that despite all the challenges involved, Azman University would offer aviation management and aviation security courses, as a step forward in boosting the aviation sector in Nigeria.

The VC disclosed this during a press conference held at the university’s building in Kano in preparation for the take-off of the university. She said as the university management is expecting to host the National University Commission (NUC) on resources verification, the university has rolled out modalities in its take-off preparation, adding that the Faculty of Computing and Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, and Faculty of Management and Social Sciences would be the three faculties the university will start with.

She explained that despite the huge challenge in the successful conduct of the aviation courses, the university is highly committed to making it a success, adding that the two aviation courses will be under the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences.

Earlier, the chairman and founder of Azman University Kano, Dr Abdulmunafi Sarina, stated that Azman is number 121 on the list of registered universities in Nigeria. Represented by a member of the university governing board, Mustapha Abdulmunafi Yunusa, the chairman further stated that the university will soon begin operation to augment the growing need for viable universities in the country.
