Pfizer, Biontech Begin Drone Delivery Of COVID-19 Vaccines In Ghana

Zipline, the global leader in instant logistics, Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE announced that Zipline has successfully completed the first long-range drone delivery of both authorized mRNA COVID-19 vaccines requiring ultra-cold-chain in Ghana.

The collaboration of the companies, which worked together earlier this year to develop and test an end-to-end vaccine delivery solution, will allow for the distribution of tens of thousands of doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine in Ghana.

Buhari Cautions World Leaders On Danger Of Hoarding COVID-19 Vaccines

President Muhammadu Buhari has cautioned world leaders and global health institutions that sidelining countries in terms of access to COVID-19 vaccines will undermine the entire effort for safety.

The President gave the warning while delivering a keynote speech at the Paris Peace Forum (PPF), on Thursday. He said export restrictions that encouraged needless hoarding of vaccines needed to be lifted, while welcoming the pledges by industrialised countries to share vaccines.

‘COVID-19 Responsible For Kano’s Revenue Drop’

COVID-19: Self Isolation No Longer Necessary For Inbound Passengers – NCDC

Self-isolation is no longer a requirement for fully vaccinated inbound passengers, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.

Director-General of the agency, Dr Ifedayo Adetifa, stated this Monday in Abuja during the ministerial briefing on COVID-19 organised by the Federal Ministry of Health.
