Avoid traveling without permission, NYSC tells corps members

National Youth Service Corps NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator Mr Odoba Abel Oche cautioned Corps members against traveling outside the state without permission.

According to him, the decision was to protect the corps members against exposing themselves to dangers on roads.

He gave the advise at the closing Ceremony of 2022 batch C Stream 1 orientation camp in Kaduna on Tuesday.

He said as they leave the camp they were expected to report to where they are posted and to contribute to the development of their host communities.

“You are strongly advised to desist from engaging in acts capable of denting the image of the NYSC and you must not travel outside Kaduna State without permission from the NYSC management. The idea is to discourage you as much as we can from exposing yourselves to the dangers of our roads,”he said .

In his remarks, Governor Nasir El-rufai represented by the Commissioner Human Services and Social Development Hajiya HAFSAT Baba, said the State government places high premium on corps members security and welfare.

She further implore all stakeholders and corps employers to pay necessary attention to the welfare of these corps members and to render them necessary support and encouragement throughout their service year in the state

She commended the efforts of NYSC State Coordinator and the entire camp official for a successful orientation course.
