An autopsy conducted by the Lagos State Police Command has revealed that Ifeanyi, the son of Nigerian music star, Davido and his fiancée Chioma Rowland, died from drowning.

According to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a chat with journalists on Saturday, the autopsy on the three-year-old was concluded on Friday but the investigation is still ongoing.

“The autopsy has been concluded and it’s confirmed that the boy drowned. It was concluded yesterday but the investigation is still ongoing,” he said.

Ifeanyi’s death was made known to the public by popular Nigerian actress and close friend of the singer, Eniola Badmus, in a now-deleted tweet on Monday.

While Davido and Chioma have not spoken about the incident, the superstar singer’s cousin, Sina Rambo has broken the silence over the death of his three-year-old relative.

Taking to his verified Instagram account, Sina Ranbo, who is also a singer wrote, “Loss for words. Rest in Power,” as he shared pictures of Ifeanyi.
