Forty-four lives lost were lost and 231 persons injured in auto crashes in Kwara State between April and May this year.
The state’s Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Fredrick Ade Ogidan, disclosed this during a chat with City & Crime.

According to him, the major causes of the accidents are overspeeding and impatience of most road users.

He also revealed that 501 people were involved in the accidents, adding that 4,191 offenders were arrested for 4,386 offences within the same period.
