Nine persons were on Tuesday killed while three others sustained injury in a ghastly motor accident Kano.
Zubairu Mato, the Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state said in a statement that the accident occurred around 9:00am and involved an articulated vehicle, a car and a tricycle along Kano-Zaria expressway, specifically at Imawa village in Kura Local Government Area of the state.

The commandant said the accident involved a trailer with registration number KMC158XW; a car with registration number AE 884 GZW and a tricycle without registration number.
He said the trailer and the car collided while trying to avoid the tricycle coming from the other side of the road.
The commander listed the deceased to include two males, six females and a child while three others sustained injuries, adding that those injured were referred to Kura General Hospital.
He urged motorists to observe traffic regulations to avoid road accidents.
