Auto crash claims 11 lives in Kano

A ghastly motor accident at Kwanar Garko in Garko Local Government Area of Kano state has claimed 11 lives, Daily Trust reports.

The accident which occurred precisely at Dakare village along Garko road at about 10am involved two vehicles, a Hiace Bus and a Volkswagon Sharon.

8 of the victims died on the spot while the additional 3 died at the hospital where they were rushed for medical attention.

The victims of the accident our reporter gathered are mostly traders on their way to attend a neighbouring Darki village weekly Market in Wudil LGA.

Confirming the accident the spokesman of the state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) Kabiru Daura said 20 persons were involved in the accident and 6 are presently critically injured.
