Atiku, who spoke during an interaction with news men in Abuja, said the challenges the country is facing behoves on all the need to pray for the nation saying this is not the time to start apportioning blames.
He solicited the cooperation of the media and called on all stakeholders to do all they can to ensure a peaceful nation.
He said Nigerian should take opportunity of the Ramadan fast to pray for the country.
“I therefore urge everybody irrespective of religion to pray for the country because more than ever before in all my life I have not seen the kind of challenges Nigeria is facing today.
“I therefore crave your understanding so that God in his infinite mercies will accept our prayers and restore the country to the path of glory and development,”he said.
Atiku said the challenges Nigeria is facing range from development, unity, stability and security and that all hands must be on deck to put Nigeria back on track.
