The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has urged the people of Gombe State to vote for him, saying he will replicate the virtues of Nigeria’s former Prime Minister, the late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, if elected.
Speaking during his campaign rally yesterday in Gombe, Atiku promised to rejuvenate Balewa’s good attributes, by bringing development to the people of the North East and the country as a whole.
He told the mammoth crowd of supporters at the Pantami Stadium, that voting for him in the 2023 election is the same thing as bringing back the virtues of the revered nationalist.
The presidential hopeful pledged that he will bring back the lost glory of a prosperous Nigeria that was devoid of terrorism, hunger, disunity and other negatives currently bedevilling the country.
