The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will hold his grand rally in Kano state on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
As part of the visit also, the former Vice-President is expected to comission a 500 capacity Quranic boarding school in Gunduwawa community of Gezawa Local Government area of the state.

Chairman, Publicity Committee of the campaign in the state, Dr Sule Ya’u Sule confirmed this at a press briefing in Kano on Wednesday.
According to him, “We are expecting our candidate, the Wazirin Adamawa in Kano state on 9th February in Kano state. We have seen other candidates who could barely talk, some could not even hold microphone, while some said they only came here to dance. We want the good people of Kano state to come and see our agile and healthy candidate.”
He also said the 500 capacity Quranic boarding school was built as a legacy project by the Senator representing Kano Central, Ibrahim Shekarau, and would be commissioned during the candidate’s visit to the state.
“The school, which has a 500 capacity hostel, 250 each for males and females, will serve as a transition for secondary school leavers before proceeding to tertiary institutions. They would memorise Quran in seven months,” Dr Sule added.
