Atiku donates N50m to Jigawa flood victims

From Ali Rabiu Ali, Dutse
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has donated N50 million to victims of flood in Jigawa State.
Atiku made the donation when he visited the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Dr Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi in his palace on Friday night.
Atiku said the reason for his visit was to sympathise with the state and the victims of the flood based on the devastation brought on the state by the incidence.
Atiku, who also visited the palace of the Emir of Hadejia for the same purpose, promised to come back for the second round of his campaign as a presidential candidate in the 2023 general election. He said that Dutse and Jigawa state is his home and that he will come at any time he wishes to.
Responding, the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi appreciated the visit and donation to the flood victims. He assured the PDP presidential flagbearer that the money would be distributed directly to victims of the flood as the money is important to them.
Similarly, the Emir of Hadejia, Adamu Abubakar Maje, also appreciated Atiku Abubakar for his tireless efforts in visiting states where floods occurred.
