The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has extended birthday wishes to Peter Obi, the presidential standard bearer of the Labour Party who turns 61 on Tuesday.
The former vice president via his official Twitter handle described Obi as his good friend and wished the former governor of Anambra State ”more years in good health and vitality.”

He wrote, “On behalf of my family, I wish my good friend, presidential candidate of the LP, and former Governor of Anambra State,@PeterObi a memorable 61st birthday celebration. I wish you many more years in good health and vitality. -AA”
Peter Obi was Atiku’s presidential running mate under the PDP during the 2019 presidential election, which they lost to President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress.
Obi was a presidential aspirant of the PDP until in May when he announced his defection to the Labour Party and subsequently won the party’s presidential ticket.
