The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi State has disclosed that it will commence In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) for infertile couples this year.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of ATBUTH, Dr Jibrin Bara, who disclosed this during the launching of E-Health Solution by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) held in the hospital, said ATBUTH aimed to start IVF this year.

Dr Bara explained that a full set of staff (gynaecologists, embryologists and nurses) were currently being trained at NISA Premier Hospital in Abuja.
The CMD said a renowned gynaecologist in the field of infertility and IVF, Dr Ibrahim Wada, had come on board as a visiting consultant to ensure a smooth take-off and high-quality services.
