An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Abdulmumini Yusuf, has been kidnapped in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The victim, popularly known as “Emirate No1”, is serving at the area command in Ilorin.

According to sources, Yusuf was abducted as he was about to enter his house in the Ogidi area of the state capital after the close of work.
Daily Trust learnt that the Commissioner of Police, Paul Odama, has since visited the community following the development.
There was heavy patrol of police officers around the community when our reporter visited.
A resident, Jamiu Abdulganiy, said the development has sparked tension in the community.
Speaking on the incident, the Kwara State secretary of the community policing advisory committee, Shola Muse, said it highlights the growing insecurity in the state, adding that the situation is getting worse.
The Kwara CP confirmed the development to Daily Trust in a telephone chat on Wednesday adding that “Yes, it’s true, but we are still on it”.
