The Gombe State House of Assembly has passed into law the 2018 Appropriation Bill of N114.1billion, increasing it by N9.2billion above the initial proposal presented before the house.
Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo had presented N104.9 billion as the state’s 2018 budget estimate tagged “Budget of Enhanced Growth and development.”
The passage followed the adoption of recommendation contained in the report of the House Committee on Appropriation.
Chairman of the committee, Mr Solomon Philip Jisimah, said the estimate is made up of a capital expenditure of N61.2billion, representing 53.61 per cent and recurrent expenditure of N52.9 billion, representing 43.39 per cent.
The Speaker, Alhaji Nasiru Abubakar Nono, commended the committee, whose report he said has guided the house in taking informed decisions.
