The Chairman of the Club, Dr. Olusegun Ajuwon said a unique thing about this year’s edition is that it will admit players from military and paramilitary organisations in Nigeria.
He said the decision to expand the competition was based on the recommendation of the Nigeria table Tennis Federation.
“The scope of this 14th edition is expected to increase a little again. This is because the NTTF extended invitations to military and paramilitary federal organisations,” he said.
The Care-taker committee of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation to be inaugurated today has promised to give every necessary support for a hitch-free championship.
The chairman of the committee and immediate past NTTF president, Ishaku Tikon called on Abuja residents to come out en mass to support the players to perform optimally.
Meanwhile, the organisers have assured that they will ensure strict adherence to the existing COVI-19 protocols.
