A day after the death of 10 people following the collapse of the Zaria Central Mosque in Kaduna State, gunmen invaded the city, killed two people and abducted one.
A security source said that the bandits who arrived in the Kofar Gayan area of the ancient city around 11pm on Saturday started shooting sporadically.
City & Crime learnt that the Kofar Gayan area has been the gateway for bandits in the past two years whenever they want to strike an attack on any community in the ancient city.
It was further learnt that it was the same area where a customs officer was abducted and spent 69 days in captivity before being released after payment of a ransom.
