An Ilorin area court in Kwara State has jailed an 18-year-old man, Azeez Kazeem, of 14 Olola Compound, Opomalu area, nine months for stealing an Infinix phone during morning prayer (Fajr).

The prosecutor, Abideeb Oderinde, told the court that, “After the prayer, the accused removed an Infinix Hot 6 where it was plugged inside the mosque by one Abdulganiyu Abdulqudus and sped off.

“But he was chased and apprehended with the Infinix and two other phones recovered from him.

The Judge, A. Y. Ameenullahi, who handed him the nine-month imprisonment, however gave him a N15,000 option of fine.
