Ondo PDP holds primary on July 22

The PDP in Ondo State will hold its primary on July 22 for the October 10, 2020 governorship election.

The PDP primary will come two days after that of the ruling APC.

The party’s National Organising Secretary, Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd), in a statement made available to newsmen in Akure, the state capital, said the primary election would be conducted by the Gubernatorial Electoral Committee.

Meanwhile, both the APC and the PDP have expressed readiness for the elections.

Spokesman for the APC in the state, Mr. Steve Otaloro, told Daily Trust that the party had made adequate preparations.

Also, the PDP zonal publicity secretary, Mr. Ayo Fadaka, who expressed readiness, said contestants were just waiting for the entire process to start.
