After many years of meeting under trees and in private homes, Ekeagu village in Uruofolo NRI in Anaocha Local Government area of Anambra State has built a town hall.
Members of the community said the construction of the edifice, christened Legacy Hall, is a big relief to them, offering them a meeting place since the inception of the town over a thousand years ago.

The magnificent edifice was built through a community goodwill and donations from illustrious sons and daughters of the village under its Chairman, Chief Arthur Mbuba, who assumed the village leadership four years ago.
Mbuba stated that the N35m project which was completed within six months, will serve various needs of the people including village meetings, wedding reception, birthday ceremonies as well as religious activities.
