Abia Assembly orders oil marketers to revert to old price

Abia State House of Assembly has expressed concern over the increase in the price of petroleum products in the state.

The House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) and petroleum matters, summoned the leadership of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), to appear before it yesterday, to explain why its members have continued to sell petroleum products above approved prices in the state.

The chairman of the committee, Hon. Godwin Adiele, asked the petroleum marketers in the state to revert to the old price or machinery will be put in motion to visit consequences upon defaulting marketers according to the dictates of the law.
