About 30 cows died mysteriously in Akungba Akoko in Akoko Southwest Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The owner of the cows identified as Ibrahim Saliu, popularly known as Baba Saliu said the incident occurred on Monday night when all residents had gone to bed.

Saliu, who said the cause of death of the cows still remain a mystery, added that he raised an alarm when he discovered the situation.
Reacting to the development, the monarch of Akungba Akoko, Oba Sunday Ajimoh warned against anybody selling or buying such cows while promising to unravel the cause of the cows’ death.
The traditional ruler said the community has alerted health officers in the local government to ensure that cow meat was not sold to members of the public.
The monarch said the people needed to be advised on the health implication of consuming such meat.
