The Nigerian Accounting Association (NAA) has elected new executives for a two-year tenure.
The executives are Professor Suleiman Aruwa – President; Prof. Oziegbe Aighonovo – Vice President; Dr. Hassan Ibrahim – Secretary General; Dr Iyere Iheohkan – Treasurer; and Dr. Cletus Akembor – Auditor.
Ex-officio members are Prof. M. A. Mainorma – past president; and Prof. B. C. Osisioma – immediate past president.
The new president, Prof. Aruwa, who took over from Prof. B.C Osisioma, is a professor of Accounting and Finance at Nasarawa University, Keffi.
NAA is a member-driven association of academics in the accountancy profession. It is the successor to the defunct Nigerian Association of Accounting Teachers (NATA) which was established in 1972 for academics in tertiary institutions in the country.
