Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has undergone a second round of ankle surgery.
The Mirror reports that Welbeck underwent surgery on Friday just hours after suffering the horrific injury against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League.
But that is understood to have just stabilised the ankle and the second surgery is to repair the damage and after that is done Arsenal will have a clearer idea of how long he will be out.
Arsenal are very confident that Welbeck will make a full and complete recovery but the biggest concern is about the level of ligament damage and potential bone bruising.
Gunners boss Unai Emery has already confirmed it was a break and there are concerns that he could miss the rest of the season.
