Liverpool and Arsenal shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw during the Saturday English Premier League (EPL) match at Anfield.
Gabriel Magalhaes and Mohamed Salah scored in the first half for Arsenal and Liverpool respectively.
Arsenal led four minutes into the encounter when Gabriel converted Martin Odegaard’s free kick delivery.
The lead was, however, 9cancelled on 29 minutes through Salah’s solo effort, having cut a defender on the edge of the area before unleashing a pile driver into the roof of the net.
Liverpool continued to dominate proceedings after the interval and went close on a couple of occasions.
Joe Gomez’s curler shaved the base of the post, while Trent Alexander-Arnold hit the crossbar following a blistering counter attack.
Arsenal retained their top spot with 40 points, one ahead of second-placed Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Manchester United lost 2-0 against West Ham United, extending the Red Devils’ underwhelming performance since the beginning of the season.
