The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, on Wednesday charged the finance department of the Nigerian Army to deploy the cashless policy of the government as a way to solve financial wastage in the system.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps 13 Biennial training conference in Lagos, he said those in the finance corps were expected to provide professional and innovative financial services in line with extant regulations.
The COAS who was represented by Maj Gen KO Kadiri admonished officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army to be professional and willing to cooperate with others.
He said that was the only way to surmount the security challenges confronting the nation.
He added that tackling insecurity in the country was hinged on four pillars: professionalism, readiness, administration and cooperation
