Army rewards 10 soldiers for exceptional performance

The Nigerian Army has rewarded ten of its personnel for their exceptional performance in the different military operations against banditry and kidnapping in various parts of the country.

The soldiers, composed of five males and five females, were drawn from six different corps of the Nigerian Army in the South West region.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, conferred the awards on the soldiers at an event to mark the Nigerian Army Combat Service Support Corps and Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) end-of-the-year 2023 West African Social Activities, popularly known as WASA, held in Lagos.

He urged the troops of the Nigerian Army to remain diligent and continue to discharge their constitutional roles in defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

The army chief, who was represented at the occasion by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General Mohammed Usman, also enjoined troops to translate the synergy witnessed during the tug of war into effective and efficient service delivery of the combat service support in the field.

The soldiers honoured are Ojo Benjamin, Yunisia Dorcas, Attah Patience, Aminu Salihu, Taiwo Rashidat, Ibrahim Ibrahim, Adayami John, Alabi Helen, Ekemode Musa, and Agbe Mary.
