Troops of the 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, led by Brigadier-General Sinyinah Nicodemus, Saturday cleared drainage and evacuated refuse at Igbo Road in Sabon Gari of Kano State as part of activities marking the 2022 Army Day celebrations.

Speaking during the event, Brigadier-General Nicodemus said the 3 Brigade chose the area to clear the drainage because of the large tonnes of refuse dumped in the area, which he said was hazardous to the health of the people.
He noted that the gesture would send a signal to the people of the area on the need to keep their community clean and safe.
Some residents of the community appreciated the Nigerian Army for the gesture, saying it would play a significant impact in the improvement of human health and curtail the spread of communicable diseases in the area.
