Armed security operatives have invaded the official residence of the immediate past Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Dauda Muhammed this evening.
The official residence located in highbrow Maitama District of Abuja, has been invaded by security agents believed to be officials of the Department of State Security.
Our reporter who was at the residence located at No 3 Osara Lane, off Osara Close, Maitama, saw about 10 armed operatives outside the gate of the property.
But sources said the operatives were there to evict the ambassador who was in Chad before his redeployment back to Abuja to head the agency.
The agency was recently embroiled in leadership crisis after the current DG Dr Abubakar Rufa’i appiontment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
