The Chief Judge of the state, Justice Adepele Ojo, administered the oath on Aregbesola and his deputy, Mrs Titi Laoye Tomori.
Aregbesola, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the August 9 governorship election in Osun State, defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
APC leaders at the event included former Head of State retired General Muhammadu Buhari, former national chairman of the APC Chief Bisi Akande, former Lagos governor Senator Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole among others.
The APC leaders, who took turns to speak, congratulated Aregbesola on his victory and urged Nigerians to vote out the PDP in the forthcoming general elections.
In his address, the governor blamed the PDP government led by Olagunsoye Oyinlola which was in power between 2003 and 2007 for the rot he inherited.
He urged people of the state to remain committed to democracy and promised that his second term would be better.
